Throughout SFCSC, there is a variety of administrative tasks, which volunteers can actively support. If you enjoy interacting with the public by phone or in person, updating data in computerized systems and/or, working with paper files, this would be a role to consider.
When: Primarily during business hours, but roles below notated with (*) may be accommodated outside those hours.
Reception: Direct calls and address in-person inquiries, accept payments, perform data entry and filing as necessary.
Event Reception: Greet and sign in guests, accept payment when necessary, book appointment times.
Newsletter: Support the monthly newsletters that keep seniors and families informed of activities provided by SFCSC, by drafting informational articles, proof-reading and distributing.*
Card Crafters: On a regular basis, SFCSC mails various cards to our clients or volunteers to recognize life events such as birthdays. Volunteers can support this effort by creating the cards or helping with the mailing.*
Specialized roles: At times new roles are developed for unique short-term administrative projects such as data updates, client surveys, file maintenance.
